Mail Rejection Issues
We're sorry that your e-mail message was rejected. This typically only happens to companies who use a shared hosting provider or who have a virus get loose on one of their employee's computers that starts sending spam, virusus, or phishing attempts out the company e-mail network. Links to websites that host content like that can also get the sending mail server blacklisted.
If you are seeing this message, then at some time in the recent past the computer that contacted us with your e-mail message is believed to have done one of these things. If you are on a shared hosting service like gmail.com or outlook.com or are using your ISPs e-mail provider, it could have had nothing to do with your company at all - just the bad luck of the draw for the system that tried to send your e-mail to us also being used by someone else who did so. In this case, trying again a few minutes later might select a different e-mail server that works. So try that first after a few minute delay. You might get lucky.
In any event, call us at (307) 234-9311 during normal business hours and we'll try to get your server off of any black list that is automatically created by our e-mail server here if it doesn't go through on a retry.
It is also possible that your e-mail system has been blacklisted by the internet itself. As above, this may have nothing to do with you. Frequently the services that monitor mail problems blacklist 256 systems at a time in order to get the attention of rogue ISPs. You can check your domain at the Cisco Reputation Checker to see if the problem is on your end. If your e-mail server (shared or otherwise) has been swept up due to problems with a nearby server, this can also affect the automatic blacklist software that we use here.
We're sorry for the problem you encountered. Unfortunately, e-mail spam is a horrible scourge on the world and without some automatic defenses it is easy to get overrun. The advent of ransom-ware in addition to the normal viruses has forced us to err on the side of caution.
