Overview

The Automation & Electronics PDAM was designed to provide extra analog input expansion capability for our Smart Cards. With a low power requirement and a wide operating temperature range, the PDAM is ideal for use in remote systems. Automation Electronics PDAM 8 Channel Analog Input Expansion Card

The PDAM is a microprocessor based 8 channel analog input card. The inputs can be used in either voltage or current sensing mode. Jumpers are used to configure each of the inputs. Connections are provided for end devices that provide their own loop power and also to provide the loop power to the end devices.

The analog inputs are digitized using a 12-Bit Analog to Digital converter and put through a digital filter. The option switches on the base module can be used to select from the digital data filtering applied.

Designed to be plugged onto the Automation & Electronics Smart Card series modules, the PDAM adds eight analog inputs to the capabilities of any of these cards.

Features

  • Plugs onto any of the Smart Card modules
  • Analog input value backup (24 hours via onboard capacitor)
